Full Description

This standard applies to a low sheen latex interior finish for all types of interior walls, either new or previously painted.

Paint complying with this standard is intended for application on walls and ceilings. This paint is suitable for application over practically any type of wall surface, including wallboard, gypsum board, dry plaster, cement, brick or concrete block. For bathrooms and kitchens, coatings complying with CAN/CGSB-1.195 or CAN/CGSB-1.202, Type 2 may be preferable.

The paint is self-priming and alkali resistant. Generally no primers or sealers are required. Usually two coats of paint complying with this standard will be adequate for most jobs. Abrade glossy surfaces to a dull finish prior to application to assure adequate adhesion.

This paint should not be applied at temperatures below 7C nor on surfaces covered by free moisture or condensation.
