This standard specifies the requirements for the design, construction, performance and testing of self-propelled and manually transported or towed lifting equipment used to assist in the boarding of aircraft passengers with mobility impairments.

The testing and evaluation of a product against this standard may require the use of materials and/or equipment that could be hazardous.
