This standard describes the alpha point to delta point physical interface portions of the 10GFC Fibre Channeland 10 GbE serial electrical and optical link variants that support the higher level Fibre Channel andEthernet protocols. This standard is recommended for new implementations but does not obsolete existingFibre Channel standards.
