BS 09/30179112 DC
BS 09/30179112 DC is intended to be applied to safety-related systems that include one or more E/E systems and thatare installed in series production passenger cars with a max gross weight up to 3,5 t. ISO 26262 does notaddress unique E/E systems in special purpose vehicles such as vehicles designed for drivers with disabilities.Systems developed prior to the publication date of ISO 26262 are exempted from the scope.
BS 09/30179112 DC addresses possible hazards caused by malfunctioning behaviour of E/E safety-related systemsincluding interaction of these systems. It does not address hazards as electric shock, fire, smoke, heat, radiation, toxicity, flammability, reactivity, corrosion, release of energy, and similar hazards unless directlycaused by malfunctioning behaviour of E/E safety-related systems.
BS 09/30179112 DC does not address the nominal performance of E/E systems, even if dedicated functionalperformance standards exist for these systems (for example active and passive safety systems, brakesystems, ACC).This Part of the International Standard specifies the requirements for ASIL-oriented and safety-orientedanalyses. These include ASIL decomposition, criteria for coexistence of elements of different ASIL, analysis ofdependent failures, and safety analyses.
