ANSI/INCITS 275-1996
This standard describes the content and format to be used for the reporting of fault characterization information. As part of this characterization, this standard of necessity identifies the minimum information needed to perform meaningful analysis of the information reported. This standard does not define any requirements on subsequent reports produced by information managers, human or automated, that may utilize this fault characterization information. This standard also does not address things such as user-perceived faults, sales oversell, and similar conditions which cannot readily be addressed by repair, replace, or circumvention of a component within a given system.
