The purpose of this Standard Practice is to providestandard methods for processing valves and fittingsintended to be used for Oxygen Service.

The proper combination of methods depends uponthe part, its method of manufacture, and the types ofcontamination present. It is recommended that priorto implementation of this Standard Practice, anagreement be reached between the purchaser and theproduct manufacture as to the appropriate methodsto be used for the product to be cleaned.
