1.1 This practice covers the repair of spray-applied polyurethane insulation on vessels normally operating at temperatures between −30 and +107C [−22 and +225F]. 1.2Warning-At temperatures below 0C [32F] the application of a spray "foam" directly onto the cold substrate may not be possible. The term "foam" applies to spray-applied polyurethane or polyisocyanurate (PUR or PIR) rigid cellular plastic only, and not to any other plastic insulation. 1.3 The values stated in either SI units or inch-pound units are to be regarded separately as standard. The values stated in each system may not be exact equivalents; therefore, each system shall be used independently of the other. Combining values from the two systems may result in non-conformance with the standard. 1.4This standard may involve hazardous materials, operations, and equipment.
