This paper describes the facilities at Crescenta Valley County Water District (CVCWD), California, which switched from blending of nitrate contaminated groundwater with imported supplies to construction of a treatment for nitrate removal. This paper briefly describes the plant, the operation and costs, and waste disposal. Emphasis is on economic impacts.
