Full Description

The primary objective of this investigation is to determine the treatability of Deep Creek Spillage water to meet existing and anticipated drinking water regulations. The most significant characteristic of Deep Creek Spillage water with regard to treatability is its high concentration of natural organic matter (NOM) (50 mg/l). From a regulatory standpoint, organic material is a concern because it serves as precursor material for disinfection by-products (such as trihalomethanes, or THMs).
