This paper presents background information on the Newport News Waterworks and offers a brief description of water quality in its system; reviews a case study of the Lead Control Program employed by the Waterworks; presents and reviews the results of the first compliance sampling by the waterworks under the new USEPA Lead and Copper Rule; and presents conclusions drawn from events and data collected to date.
