The purpose of this paper is to address potential water quality problems confronting the Otay Water District in their storage reservoirs and to suggest measures which may be taken to minimize these problems. This paper also offers criteria which may be utilized to determine maximum basin or chamber size in a reservoir. It is with these goals in mind that we initially digress to some common definitions and misconceptions.
