Full Description

The use of water quality models for planning and improving chlorine disinfection programs is becoming increasingly widespread, both in Australia and overseas. The development of representative water quality models for describing the temporal and spatial distribution of free chlorine requires rigorous hydraulic and water quality calibration under both average and peak day system demands. The Hunter Water Corporation (HWC) has recently completed a water quality modeling study focusing on improving its current chlorination strategy to satisfy the microbiological conditions of its operating license.
